The establishment of Oman’s first LNG plant, ‘Oman LNG’ in 1994. In 2002, the Government of Oman decided to move forward with plans to develop a third gas liquefaction train and thus ‘Qalhat LNG’ was born and was incorporated in 2003.

Qalhat is the place in Sur where the new LNG terminal is constructed. There is one jetty for LNG Carriers. No other commercial operation in this jetty

Sur Office Activities :
Our Key activities are Vessel Husbanding and operations (Cargo Vessels and Tankers). We have so far handled more than 65% of Urea vessels & 90% of Ammonia vessels loading out of Omifco Terminal, SUR since 2005 May.

We are handling 33% of the LNG tankers calling at Qalhat LNG terminal, Sur. Given our longstanding presence, we enjoy excellent relations with the loading terminal & local authorities that enables us to smooth operation of the vessels.
